Hello and thank you for coming to my website! I truly appreciate it.

This is an introductory post and first of many I hope. I intend to use this section to keep you updated on projects, auditions, bookings etc. It also gives me the opportunity to properly share with you some of the amazing people I meet along the way. This has been a fulfilling 7 year journey for me and I'm ecstatic to be sharing with you as I continue on the quest to great performances and life changing experiences.

With that said, I'M NARRATING MY FIRST PODCAST!!!!! (Links Below)

My Level of Excitement

I know sounds exciting doesn't it? Well the process was not as exciting as it seems. I know what you're thinking...Carl just walked into a room and BOOM he's now narrating his first podcast. I wish it was that easy.....

Imagine seeing a post to potentially narrate a podcast but then having to be patient for a whole 365 days to begin. In my way of conducting business in this fantastic and stable game of acting I would hope all my projects take a year to begin. WRONG!!! I was ready to go from the moment I walked out of that room but there was a bigger plan in motion. Voice work has been a passion of mine since I've begun acting and I jump at any opportunity to get my voice recorded. I'm like a hungry rapper who the world doesn't know can rap yet. Remember the doors Kanye West had to kick down to prove to people he can rap? That's me trying to prove to the world that I'm a voice actor LOL.

SO I'm leaving this room high off life steadily anticipating to begin recording. I'm doing vocal warmups every morning, drinking throat coating tea serums, basically speaking in tongues before I begin my day so when my moment comes I'll be ready.....Then 3 months go by and nothing happens. As an actor you can get easily discouraged when things like this happen but the engineer in me told me there a process to this like everything in life. Thankfully our creator James Hayes called every so often to make sure I was still on board which I was. I could hear them chanting my name like B rabbit in 8 mile as I'm throwing up in the sink because my nerves are out of the roof!

B Rabbit in '8 Mile'

Fast forward to a year later and I'm in a small studio in Brooklyn with our creator and engineer recording the first episode. Even though time has passed I'm still nervous yet I'm prepared.

The podcast is called 'Another Shade of Crime' and its a true crime podcast about a man name Ronnie Long who was tried and wrongfully convicted of rape and burglary in Concord, North Carolina in 1976, which was basically the death penalty in that era. I'm not going to go too deep into the story as you'll have to listen to find out more (see picture below) ;-) but its similar to 'Serial' another true crime podcast that I was a HUGE fan of wayyyyy before I thought I would ever narrate one.

Please do yourself a favor and check me out as I try to help Ronnie on his journey to freedom. Here's the link for all streaming platforms:

Once again thank you for coming to my site and I hope you enjoy my frequent updates!
